Who are we ?
We are a group of the children of the new age; we are online activists, social media buffs, bloggers and we carry our mobiles with both hands while typing a new tweet or a status update and walk aimlessly in the streets.
We are a group of genuine people who support Human Rights, and among them basic rights for the LGBTIQ [Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Intersex and Queer] people in our country, Lebanon.
We are a few individuals that felt the need to react when we saw the unjustified and horrible acts forced upon LGBTIQ people in Lebanon. We’re not an NGO, we’re not an organization, we’re just simple people with a goal and our tool is social media.
We have pure passion for equality, and we will fight for it using the tools we have in our hands, and we will continue to do so every time an act of homophobia or discrimination take place in Lebanon, and hopefully, in time, the Arab world.
Some of us belong to the community of the LGBTIQ, others are friends who support our cause.
We call ourselves the #LebLGBT, and you will find us tweeting, blogging and using the most powerful weapon of all in our time and age: the power of the worldwide web, to fight discrimination and homophobia.
